The top 10 dribblers in Europe’s five major leagues in 2024-25: Yamal, Mbappe, Wirtz….
We’re slowly getting used to a new era in which Lionel Messi and Neymar aren’t striking fear into poor European defences, but a new crop of talented wing wizards have emerged to take their place in the dribbling stakes.
Stars young and old from Real Madrid, Leicester City, Bayer Leverkusen and Barcelona are among the most prolific dribblers of the 2024-25 campaign so far.
Here are the 10 players who have completed the most dribbles across Europe’s five major leagues – La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Premier League and Ligue 1 – in 2024-25. Where two players are tied on successful dribblers, we’ve put them in order of the superior per-minute ratio.
10. Dodi Lukebakio – 29
The Sevilla winger has had an eye-catching stat to the new campaign and is currently averaging a successful dribble every 35.2 minutes in La Liga.
Impressively, he’s now only one successful dribble away from matching his entire tally of 30 from last season. With the way he’s currently playing, he’s bound to smash that tally this season.
9. Moses Simon – 29
Now into his sixth season at Nantes, Nigeria international Simon is by no means a world-beater but he’s consistently made himself a headache for opposition full-backs in Ligue 1 and appears to be enjoying himself at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
8. Abdul Fatawu – 29
After lighting things up in the Championship last season, Fatawu is now causing all sorts of problems for Premier League defenders.
Impressively, the Leicester City star is currently averaging a successful dribble every 19.9 minutes and he’s also completed more dribbles than any player in the Premier League.

7. Yann Gboho – 30
Following some eye-catching years with Cercle Brugge, Gboho returned to France in January to sign for Toulouse.
He’s certainly brought plenty of entertainment value this season, as he currently ranks as one of the best dribblers in Ligue 1 with 30 successful dribbles in 11 matches.
6. Jamie Gittens – 30
While Borussia Dortmund themselves have endured an inconsistent start to the new campaign, Gittens has been grabbing plenty of headlines with his eye-catching performances.
The 20-year-old looks like a star in the making and is currently averaging a successful dribble every 18.7 minutes in the Bundesliga which is quite the record.
5. Kylian Mbappe – 31
Real Madrid’s latest Galactico is judged to be one of the finest dribblers in world football in the latest edition of EA FC – and he’s backing up that faith with his real-life output in La Liga.

4. Chidera Ejuke – 31
We wouldn’t blame you if you’ve not heard of Sevilla’s Nigerian winger, who joined from CSKA Moscow in the summer.
But he’s swiftly proving himself one to watch for an otherwise ailing Sevilla side. His dribbling stats are off the charts – both his ratio (a successful dribble every 17.5 minutes) and his success rate (63.3%) are the best of any player in this top 10.
3. Vinicius Junior – 33
Arguably the best player in world football right now, it’s no surprise to see the 24-year-old feature in the upper echelons of this list.
Vinicius has faced some criticism back in Brazil for struggling to deliver his best on the international stage, but there’s certainly no problem when he takes to the pitch for his club.
2. Florian Wirtz – 33
After enjoying the best season of his career to date in 2023-24, the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has picked up from where he left off last time.
Wirtz is undoubtedly one of the most technically gifted players in the Bundesliga and his low centre of gravity allows him to weave in and out of defenders with ease.
With 33 successful dribbles so far, the 21-year-old has only just been pipped to the top spot.
1. Lamine Yamal – 34
It was at some point during his starring role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph that Yamal went from ‘outrageously gifted youngster’ to ‘legitimately one of the best forwards in Europe, regardless of age’.
The 17-year-old has picked up where he left off in the summer by stepping things up a gear for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, who have won nine of their opening 10 La Liga outings to date, Yamal himself notching four goals and six assists already.
There are still some rough edges to his game – as well as registering second for most successful dribbles, he’s also top for unsuccessful dribbles with 57 – but that just speaks to how often he’s getting on the ball and looking to make things happen.
It’s quite frankly ridiculous how good he is already.
